History WITHOUT Imagery!

We are made the latest bunch of fools
Studying bogus syllabus and attending schools,
Not even with the necessary tools,
Day by day,
Year after year,
Spending 99.9% of our lives
Reading, comparing and contrasting notes and statistics from weird archives;
Slapped with abnormal fees
Crippling the little profits
Of our parents down their knees
To bits

We graduate with plenty certificates
Yet can not get us the jobs,
Even when we get the jobs
In NEVER does reflect in the pocket,
To survive you are forced to unzip the skirt,
Or take off your bra
Or unzip the trousers
Or ask for brown envelopes;
To get higher grades,
Sleep with the male lecturer in the hotel or under the shades
Or if you can buy his "downloaded" pamphlets
With all the Cedis and Pesewas in your pockets
To win his "fake" grades,
This is NOT just poetry,
It's a reality
In our tertiary;
All we learn is HISTORY
Without IMAGERY!

  1. That's the reality put to verse. You observe the world and make lyrical sense of it all. That's a gift. Well done. :)

  2. Well done. It really saddens me. How some people are suffering in this world. You write about Ghana, but in other parts of the world the citizens are experiencing the same issue.

    God help us.

    However well done, unfortunatle the ones who can do something about this aren't reading. And if they do it will only be on their retina and not pass into the brains that our Heavely Father has given to them.
